Amanda Yu has lived in NYC just shy of six years, after growing up out west in Sam Ramon, California. After meeting on a commercial shoot we set up a story away from the rigid specifics that come with a large team of clients and art directors, using nothing but the confines of a small Manhattan apartment and window light, and time to watch a series develop. Amanda is a bit of a food nut (she was in the process of making something extremely gourmet when we arrived) and will be starting a brand called Black Gouda later in 2016 that focuses on the culinary side of things and hosting.
